About Honeyguide

A Partnership Built on Guidance & Shared Discovery

A Honeyguide is a bird — the only known wild animal seeking a collaboration with humans on its own initiative. It attracts a human's attention with its very distinctive call in order for them to follow a course, and then changes its signal when a bee colony has been reached, in order for the human to break open the beehive for them both to collect honey. Honey is an invaluable source of nutrition and energy for endurance in the African bush.

Similarly, an energy auditor — the word "audit" is derived from Audiatur et altera pars, which means to "listen to the other side" — needs to observe, listen, and collect data in order to identify and recommend analysed energy management opportunities (or nutritious honey), that makes financial and environmental sense for its client.
